  • Eclectic Electric Concert At Roslyn High School
  • Roslyn High School Auditorium: Roslyn, New York, United States (MAP)
  • Roslyn High School's Eclectic Electric ensemble will make its return engagement on Saturday, May 1st at 7:00pm in the Roslyn High School auditorium. Once again, the students will be collaborating with renowned musician Mark Wood and the Mark Wood Experience.

    Eclectic Electric is made up of an electric string quintet, a rock rhythm section, an accompanying acoustic string orchestra, and seven vocalists. They perform a wide variety of styles and genres from rock ‘n’ roll to traditional fiddle music to legitimate classical repertoire. The ensemble includes over 40 Roslyn High School students and is under the direction of Michael Coffey.

    This year The INN will be honoring Dave Golbert, Volunteer and Community Advocate, along with Carol Hodkin of Geico Insurance Company.

    All proceeds from this event will go directly towards preparing the Mary Brennan INN for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

  • Huntington High School: Huntington, New York, United States (MAP)
  •        Jam with some of the best rock, jazz, hip-hop and fiddle artists in the area. Classes will be tailored as registration unfolds, according to age and instrumentation. Violinists, violists, cellists and bassists are all encouraged to register. Elementary students must be accompanied by an adult. Professional development certificate will be available.

          The culminating concert at 3:00pm will include performances by all clinicians and participants. General public may purchase tickets to this event. Call 631-427-3127 for more information. A delicious lunch, catered by The Palatable Panther will be available for a nominal fee.
